This Pinot shows Yellingbo’s forward structure—The richer of the two white labels and the most immediately appealing/seductive. Lithe, sweet fruited up front with a touch of undergrowth. Nice tannin grip well balanced against the fine acid line. Exceptional value.

It arguably needs another year or two in bottle but the savoury underpinning and general purity of fruit – combined with immaculate tannin structure – will hold it in excellent stead. Roasted nuts, fresh black cherries, woodsy spice notes and the aforementioned undergrowth; all the right boxes are ticked here."
