The Wine
The Bodega Thieriot Vineyard, established as Senses Wines' flagship site, is located in the West Sonoma Coast AVA. Planted with Calera clone Pinot Noir, the vineyard benefits from a warm microclimate tempered by cool coastal breezes and lingering fog, allowing for extended hang-time and the development of complex flavors. Sustainable farming practices and manual harvesting ensure the highest quality fruit. Winemaking includes fermentation with native yeasts and aging in French oak barrels.

An expressive Pinot Noir that veers from complex and powerful fruit to fine minerality, then back to seductive oak and a wonderful lingering acidity. Poised, powerful and extremely well judged. Excellent wine, real Grand Cru level. Tasting notes sign off with, “Sexy AF”. That pretty much says it all.

It spills effortlessly from the glass with gregarious scents of pomegranate, kirsch, and mulberries, giving way to a beguiling perfume of lilacs, bergamot, jasmine tea, and iron ore. The medium to full-bodied palate shimmers with floral and mineral layers accenting the powerful core of red berry preserves, supported by very fine-grained tannins, finishing long and lifted."
