Roc Breïa Pinot Noir 2022
Region: Mâconnais, Burgundy, France
Variety: Pinot Noir
Vintage: 2022
The Wine
Théo Dancer's 2022 Pinot Noir is rather deep and muscular this year, opening in the glass with aromas of plummy fruit and sweet spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, deep and primary palate framed by sweet, powdery tannins. It's matured in used 500-liter barrels.
Cellared Says
Few young names in Burgundy are generating more buzz than Théo Dancer. Son of the legendary Vincent Dancer, Théo took over the family’s coveted Chassagne domaine from the 2020 vintage—well ahead of schedule—and hasn’t missed a beat. Alongside that, he’s launched his own micro-négoce and co-founded Roc Breïa in the Mâconnais. Ambitious, curious, and already delivering the goods.
The Pinot? Old vines planted in the 70’s and 80’s, fine crafted viticulture and rigorous selection in the winery result in a vibrant, fruit lifted pinot. Richness in fruit, tannin and acid driven to a long finish. Rather like this.
