Nicole Lamarche Nuits-Saint-Georges 2022
Region: Côte de Nuits, Burgundy, France
Variety: Pinot Noir
Vintage: 2022
The Wine
Nicole Lamarche’s name has become synonymous with finesse and purity. In 2022, she continues to refine her elegant, perfume-driven style with remarkable precision. This wine forms part of her small négoce range—crafted from organically farmed fruit in Les Herbues and Aux Tuyaux, two parcels located just outside Vosne-Romanée. Here, 40-year-old vines rooted in rich clay soils yield Pinot Noir of depth and intensity.
Roughly one-third of the cuvée was raised in Nicole’s hand-crafted Italian amphorae—bespoke ceramic vessels that encourage gentle oxygenation while preserving tension and aromatics. The remainder matured in fine French oak. The result captures the structure of Nuits but through a Vosne lens: lifted red fruits, spice, and graceful texture, expressing both place and the Lamarche signature of understated charm.
Cellared Says
This is unmistakably Lamarche—refined, sensual and laced with energy. A luminous Pinot Noir that sits beautifully between delicacy and quiet strength. Drink 2027–2032.
Wine Reviews
“Pretty mid purple, a touch more density than the Vosne. An attractive range of red berries on the nose, so evidently Vosne side rather than central Nuits. Builds quite well on the palate, a little oak, some spices, and finishes well.”
