Evening Land Vineyards Seven Springs Pinot Noir Oregon 2021
Region: Oregon
Sub Region: Eola-Amity Hills AVA
Variety: Pinot Noir
Country: USA
Vintage: 2021
The Wine
Sourced primarily from their oldest own-rooted block at Seven Springs Vineyard (Eola-Amity Hills AVA) from 40-year-old vines all hand-harvested and 100% destemmed. Indigenous yeast fermentation in closed top concrete fermenters with no punch downs or pump overs and aged 7 months in neutral French barrique.
Seven Springs Pinot Noir has an array of clonal material of different ages from the estate’s upper blocks. These vines were planted between 1993 and 2013 and include Dijon, Pommard, and California heritage selections that in the ten to 20 years since their arrival have adapted tremendously.
Cellared Says
Private Collection. I’ve personally been buying these wines for a while and find them intriguing and utterly delicious. Bouncing black cherry juice, rosewater, violet, spice, fine lined acidity and well judged oak build structure. Perfect mid term cellaring potential.
