Domaine Antoine Jobard Bourgogne Blanc 2023
Region: Burgundy
Sub Region: Bourgogne Blanc
Variety: Chardonnay
Country: France
Vintage: 2023.
The Wine
One of the great Bourgogne Blanc bottlings of the Côte de Beaune, this wine comes from just over one hectare spread across five parcels, all in Meursault and all beside village-level sites: Sous la Velle, En l’Ormeau, Les Herbeux, Les Lameroses and La Monatine. The average vine age is 20 years. In 2023, Jobard’s naturally deep and structured white style has worked especially well with the vintage’s texture, while the move to DIAM and the more precise management of dissolved oxygen continue to sharpen the precision of the wines.
Cellared Says
This is a very dangerous wine in the best possible sense. It drinks far above its level, carries genuine Meursault character, and tends to make you question why you didn’t buy more.
Reviews
“Good freshness again – more golden citrus but delivered with energy and clarity. Hmm, beautifully textured and with flavour that melts over the palate. Broad and ripe but never overripe in this tasty width of finishing flavour. Simply a delicious…”
