Château Mouton Rothschild 2024

$832.00

Region: Pauillac, Bordeaux
Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon-led
Vintage: 2024

The Wine

Château Mouton Rothschild is defined by its deep gravel soils on the northern Pauillac plateau, producing wines of power, density and unmistakable First Growth authority. Since Philippe Dhalluin’s tenure, vineyard parcel selection and extraction have become increasingly precise.

The cooler, later 2024 season shifted emphasis toward structure, freshness and aromatic clarity rather than opulence. Cabernet Sauvignon dominates, delivering cassis, graphite, cedar and violet, framed by firm but polished tannins. Élevage in new French oak adds depth without heaviness.

This wine is sold En Primeur and will arrive early 2027 - Direct ex-cellar

Cellared Says

A classical, cerebral Mouton, less about immediate impact and more about long-term authority. Buyers should think in decades, not years. Whilst not regarded as a top vintage, the First Growths are looking stunning out of barrel (Tasted April 2025) and are available at prices not seen since 2014. The only catch, our FX rate against the euro has kept these priced higher than they should be. Still highly recommended.
