Domaine Moreau-Naudet Chablis Les Pargues Vieilles Vignes 2023

$118.00

Region: Chablis, Burgundy, France
Variety: Chardonnay
Vintage: 2023

The Wine
Les Pargues lies on a ridge between Montmains and Vosgros Premiers Crus, sharing their south-east exposition and thin stony soils. Despite its “village” designation, the vineyard is widely regarded as Premier Cru quality. Moreau farms 1.8 hectares of 60+ year-old vines here at yields as low as 15–25 hl/ha. Fermented with natural yeasts and matured partly in older barrels (30%) alongside steel, this 2023 bottling delivers layered orchard fruit, iodine minerality, and briny length.

Cellared Says
This is a wine that consistently outperforms its label. Deeply mineral with chalk, white flowers, and a saline finish, it offers superb concentration and balance. Expect it to age beautifully but perfectly poised and weighted to enjoy now. Drink 2025–2035.

Wine Reviews
“Issuing from three parcels of over 60-year-old vines, amounting to 1.8 hectares, Moreau-Naudet’s 2023 Chablis Pargues Vieilles Vignes sees 30% of maturation in used oak, with the remainder matured in tank. Offering notes of pear, honeysuckle and iodine, it’s medium to full-bodied, concentrated and inviting, laden with vibrant acidity and concluding with a delicately chalky finish.”
90–91 Points – Kristaps Karklins, The Wine Advocate

“A more acidulated impression to this incisive aromatic. Juicy energy – it’s another step forward – none back – intense, fresh and wonderfully energetic – bravo again!”
